My Opinion
The Mid-twenties are Ideal for Someone to Start a Family
I strongly believe that the mid-twenties are mature enough and an ideal age for someone to get married and start a family. People who are around 19 years old is assumed already to get their puberty, maturity both physical and mental, and have already finished their senior high school, so they have a broader point of view for preparing their future. Usually, young adults already have their own preferences about the opposite sex and their ideal spouse for the future. Maybe they are looking for somebody who resembles their parents or siblings, in terms of physical qualities and also personality. Then, subconsciously, it will shape their preferences of choosing their special friend that possibly would be their future spouse. After that, around the age of 23, most of young adult is undergraduate and start applying for their first job. For me, in this era, women are eligible to get married. Meanwhile, for men, it is better for them to get settled first after thriving in the first three years of work in a bona fide company. In this stage of life, most of men have to prepare for their own assets, such as own their first house, have a car or motorcycle depending on their needs, and also need to prepare a budget to propose their prospective wife. And last but not least, for people who work as professionals, they usually need a longer phase to thrive in their field. I would say people in their early thirties are at their perfect time to get married. Meanwhile, our physical body has its own ideal biological timing for reproductive function. The decision to get married and start a family is not just about marrying someone we love, but it has a broader meaning, that we also ‘marry’ their family. By getting married, we decide to be responsible also for the life of the children that we are going to be blessed with in the future. Lastly, in my opinion, the mid-twenties is an ideal age for someone to get married and start a family.
